People Business Partners (PBPs) are responsible for aligning business objectives with people solutions in the organizations they support. In many companies, the role is referred to as HR Business Partner (HRBP). Successful PBPs act as business professionals, team member champions, and change agents. PBPs are HR experts who partner with and advise the business by maintaining literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its way of operating, and its competition.
The Associate People Business Partner is a grade 5.
The People Business Partner is a grade 6.
The Senior People Business Partner is a grade 7.
The Manager, People Business Partner is a grade 8. This job may be an individual contributor or a manager of people, but the title is aligned with the market practice and scope of influence for the role.
Market Justification: The business need for this role as an individual contributor is to ensure the proper experience and expertise in partnering with leadership at the company. The PBP team brings a vast amount of knowledge with respect to strategic operations in the role. In the market it is common to have this role as an individual contributor with over 50 companies reporting data for this role for an average of 2 incumbents in the role.
The Director People Business Partner is a grade 10.
Performance indicators are done in partnership with the PBP and the organizational leaders.
