Today we are releasing versions 11.5.4, 11.4.11, and 11.3.13 for GitLab Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE).
These versions contain an important security fix, and we strongly recommend that all GitLab installations be upgraded to one of these versions immediately.
The vulnerability details will be made public on our issue tracker in approximately 30 days.

Arbitrary File read in GitLab project import with Git LFS
GitLab Git LFS contained a validation issue during project import which could allow an attacker to read arbitrary files on a GitLab server. The issue is now mitigated in the latest release and is assigned CVE-2018-20144.

Affects GitLab CE/EE 11.0 and later.
We strongly recommend that all installations running an affected version above to be upgraded to the latest version as soon as possible.

Updated: 2018-12-17: We have received some questions regarding 11.6 Release Candidates. While, 11.6-RC7 also includes this security fix, but we do not recommend using RCs as they are not part of stable releases.
